Rare Books Go Down with the Titanic April 15 was the 99th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. Harry Elkins Widener, a rare book collector, had been in England purchasing rare books. His return ticket was on the Titanic. His private collection, now in a library at Harvard, includes a first folio of Shakespeare and a Gutenberg Bible, printed between 1450 and 1455.

That’s One Way to Advertise Who doesn’t remember munching your favorite cereal before school and reading the back of the cereal box? Now children in the UK will find on said box an excerpt of a Roald Dahl book. The publisher hopes this will spark kids’ interest in reading the whole book!
